Western Maine Mountain Clinic
The Western Maine Mountain Clinic allows you to be prepared for the unexpected during your Sunday River ski trip! Located next to the South Ridge Base Lodge on the lower level next to the ski patrol, we are available to treat a variety of urgent care conditions including:
- Sore throats
- Aches and pains
- Ear infections
- Lacerations
- Sprains
- Fractures
We also offer prescriptions for antibiotics and other medications, splints and crutches, and access to PACE Paramedic Service .
Our staff of nurse practitioners, physician assistants, registered nurses and radiological technicians is managed by Dr. Russell Florenz, M.D., Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Mountain Clinic's Medical Director for the past 13 years. The clinic's team of professionals have years of experience in urgent care services and are supported by orthopaedic surgeons and other specialty physicians on call to provide advice and care as needed. If you require further medical attention, our staff will gladly refer you to Stephens Memorial Hospital, which is the closest full-service hospital to the mountain clinic, or to another facility of your choice.
We accept many forms of payment including cash, check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover and Medicare. As a seasonal clinic we are unable to directly bill insurance providers, but we provide all of the paperwork necessary for insurance reimbursement. Clinic hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily during the regular season. During the early season weekend and holiday hours will be kept.
