Early Detection Puts Time on Your Side -

Because early detection is the key to successfully fighting breast cancer, it is vital that every woman follow a regular schedule of breast examination. In addition to a monthly breast self-examination and a yearly clinical breast exam, women aged 40 and older should have an annual screening mammogram. In the Women's Imaging Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital, we offer a full range of breast care services - diagnosis, education and treatment - in a supportive, respectful environment.

Prosthesis and Bra Fitting
The Women's Imaging Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital has a new partnership with the Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy to offer professional bra fittings to the women of Oxford Hills once a month.

Fittings are covered by insurance and the fitter handles all of the paperwork. Patients who do not have insurance should call to find out what programs are offered for obtaining prosthetics or bras at low or no cost.

Healthy Steps Exercise Program
Stephens Memorial Hospital is pleased to offer Healthy Steps therapeutic exercise classes.  Dawn Derenburger, Lead Mammography Technologist has recently become trained in the Lebed Method of healing and dance movement.  Classes will be offered at the hospital soon and benefit not only breast cancer survivors, but also individuals who suffer from other chronic illnesses such as arthritis, Parkinson's disease, and anyone who wants to improve their immune system.
