Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

NORWAY, ME - The Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation (SCHF), inducted three new board members at its Annual Meeting that took place on Wednesday, May 17, 2006.  The SCHF Board consists of 12 members, 9 of whom are current members of the Western Maine Health Board and 3 of whom are community members.  Meeting attendees voted to appoint C. Bradley Cummings as the new board member from the community at large, as well as appointing Ola Melhus, M.D., and Wendy Penley as board members from the WMH Board, all three will serve a three year term.

Brad Cummings is the former President of C.B. Cummings.  Dr. Melhus has been a Pathologist at Stephens Memorial Hospital since 1994 and has been on the WMH Board since 2005.  Wendy Penley has served on the WMH Board since 2005, and has been involved with several philanthropic organizations in Maine.  Existing board members, Ted Moccia and Bruce Rood, were reappointed.   The Foundation was organized for charitable, scientific, and educational purposes to benefit and carry out the purposes of the Stephens Memorial Hospital Association.
