Sun Shines on Western Maine Health Golf Classic For 2nd Year

NEWRY - The Second Annual Western Maine Health Golf Classic was held Monday, July 24th, at the Sunday River Golf Club. In all, 24 teams turned out to enjoy the scenic views, beautiful weather, and to support Western Maine Health.

The Medical Mutual team (Jack Adams, John Doyle, John Gross, and Steve Michaud) took home first place with a gross score of 61 in the Men's Gross while the Dow Law Team of Ted Dilworth, Mike Dilworth, Ed Dilworth, and Tom Dilworth took first place in the Men's Net with a net score of 45.  The Sunday River Realty Team (Mike DiPhilippo, Susan DuPlessis, Jeff Harris, and David Verani) earned first place in the gross mixed with a gross score of 59 while the CN Brown team of Jinger Duryea, Steve Lawrence, Robin Wilkins and Chick Wilkins brought home the first place prize in the Mixed net with a net score of 46.

Mike DiPhilippo from the Sunday River Realty Team hit the longest men's drive while Sue Doliner hit the longest women's drive. Mike Wing of Thomas Agency was closest to the pin in the men's competition and Kris Hughes from the LTs Team was closest in the women's competition.
