Long Time Housekeeper Betty Lewis Retires

Many fellow employees, staff, and physicians attended a bon voyage breakfast on December 15th wishing long time housekeeper Betty Lewis well in her retirement.  Four of Betty's six children and several of her grandchildren were able to attend as well.

Betty began working at the hospital nearly 20 years ago in the Environmental Services Department, celebrated her last day with a brunch, gifts, and flowers.   At the celebration, Roberta Metivier, Vice President of Human Resources said, "Betty has been a dedicated employee for 20 years, and we will miss her and wish her a happy and healthy retirement."

While she will miss her fellow workers at SMH, Betty may come back to visit but is looking forward to her retirement and spending time with her family including her 21 grandchildren and Mr. McDougal her wonderful Scottie Dog companion.
