HAROLD ALFOND COLLEGE CHALLENGE INFORMATION SESSIONS OFFERED

The Family Birthplace at Stephens Memorial Hospital announces upcoming information sessions for parents regarding the $500 grant from the Alfond Scholarship Foundation.  The next sessions will be held on Wednesday, April 22nd from 8:45 - 11:30 am, Wednesday June 3rd from 8:45 - 11:30 am, and Thursday, June 4th from 5:15 - 8:00 pm in the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Building next to Stephens Memorial Hospital.

Detailed information, enrollment kits, and a representative from FAME (Finance Authority of Maine) will be available to assist attendees. 

Harold Alfond wished to encourage all Maine families to pursue college dreams for their children.  As a result he created his Harold Alfond College Challenge, and all babies born after January 2009 are eligible for this grant. 

The Family Birthplace is happy to be able to pass along information to parents to educate them on this wonderful opportunity.
