Annual Fall Stephens Volunteer Services Luncheon
Western Maine Health volunteers were celebrated and recognized for their dedication and commitment at the annual volunteer luncheon in the Harper Conference Center on Monday, October 28th.
Timothy A. Churchill, Western Maine Health President and CEO, and Sharon Nightingale, Volunteer Services Coordinator, thanked volunteers for the significant contributions volunteers make throughout the year.
There are approximately 95 volunteers in the Stephens Volunteer Services department at Western Maine Health ranging in age from 16 years old to the mid 80’s. In the past year volunteers have provided over 25,000 hours of service at a variety of volunteer activities focused on promoting the health and comfort of our patients and visitors. Volunteers were represented from the Thrift Shop, Café, Kitchen, Patient Greeters, Chaplain Services, Clerical Services at the practices, Medical Records, Mended Hearts, Patient Escorts, The Birthplace, Pet Therapy program and Market Square. Students from the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School Life Skills program were also present. Over 50 volunteers were in attendance at the recognition luncheon.
