SMH Offers Take Charge of Your Health
Does your doctor or family know what kind of medical care you want if you are too sick to tell them? Because a medical crisis can strike you at any time or at any age Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway is hosting a free educational session on health care decision making.
Join Stephens Memorial Hospital’s licensed clinical social worker, Robin Green, as she discusses why it’s important for your family and healthcare providers to know how you want to be cared for in the event of a medical crisis. Robin will explain what you need to make the right decisions for yourself in advance care planning and answer any questions you might have on end-of-life care. Attendees will receive advance directive forms.
Taking Charge of Your Health will be offered on Monday, April 21st from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm. The program will be held at the Harper Conference Center (193 Main Street, Norway). There is no cost for this program and a light lunch will be provided. Space is limited. Call Stephens Memorial Hospital at 744-6013 to register.
Stephens Memorial Hospital is a Leapfrog 2013 Top Rural Hospital and is a member of MaineHealth.
